Our Business
Castle Path Quilting...
As the name suggests, everything we do at Castle Path is done with quality and class.
Our service quality sets us apart from our competitors. Whether we're helping you select
fabric and quilting designs, discussing the layout of your quilt blocks or working with you
to develop a meaningful message for the label on the back of your cherished quilt, we
give professional consultation every step of the way.
Rex and Chris McCaskill bought their Gammill Statler Stitcher longarm quilting machine
(lovingly named Rapunzel) because they wanted to quilt their own quilt tops. It wasn't
long, however, before Rapunzel became engaged in spreading joy to other quilters and
quilt lovers on a full-time basis.
Who We Are
Rex and Chris McCaskill are both dedicated quilting enthusiasts. After receiving a
Master's degree in Social Welfare Administration from the University of Michigan and
retiring from her fulfilling career as a public policy analyst, Chris has turned her love of
quilting into the full time venture we named Castle Path Quilting. Chris is also a graduate
level adjunct professor at the University of Texas School of Social Work. Rex is a senior
programmer with IBM whose favorite toy is our computerized Gammill longarm quilting
machine with Statler Stitcher. Rex holds a Master's degree in Mathematics and brings an
engineer's mind and attention to detail that your heirloom treasures deserve. Both Rex
and Chris have received training on longarm quilting, digital photography and Photoshop
from noted professionals.
